How to Create an AI Assistant with Media Reference in VoiceVision

In this tutorial, we’ll guide you through the process of creating an AI assistant with media reference. This feature enhances your assistant’s responses by integrating relevant media files, providing a richer and more dynamic user experience.

Step 1: Add Media Files to Media Storage

Before linking media to your assistant, you need to upload your media files into the media storage. Follow these steps to set up your media collection:

Navigate to the Media Storage section in your dashboard.

Click on the "Create Media Collection" button.

Enter a Media Collection Name for easy identification.

Click the "Create" button to finalize the collection.

Open the newly created media collection by clicking on its name.

Click the "Add Media" button to upload files.

Enter a Media Title to label the file.

Choose between:

Uploading a media file directly from your device.

Entering a Web URL to link an online media file.

Assign Keywords related to the media file. You can enter multiple keywords separated by commas for better searchability.

Click the "Save" button to add the media file to your collection.

Repeat the above steps to upload additional media files.

Your media collection is now ready to be linked to an AI assistant.

Step 2: Map Media Collection to Your AI Assistant

Once your media files are uploaded, you need to map them to your AI assistant so they can be referenced in responses.

Navigate to the Assistants page.

Click the Settings icon next to the assistant you want to configure.

In the settings menu, go to General Settings and scroll to the Vision section.

Enable the Vision option to allow media reference.

Choose the relevant Media Collection from the list.

Click "Save" to apply the changes.

Step 3: Test Your AI Assistant with Media Reference

Now that you have successfully integrated media references into your assistant, it’s time to test the functionality.

Go to the Assistants page.

Click the Chat Icon next to your assistant to start an interaction.

Ask a question or provide input related to the uploaded media.

Your assistant will reference the relevant media files based on keywords and context.
